From the Valley to Las Aguilas
Julie Lopez never forgot where she started. From El Camino Real High School in the San Fernando Valley to signing with Club America Femenil, the 21-year-old midfielder has become the next face of SoCal talent making noise on the world stage.
At Long Beach State, she built her foundation. 27 games. 9 goals. Steady development that caught the attention of scouts across borders. In January 2026, she made the jump to Liga MX Femenil with one of the most decorated clubs in football history.
Before the college career and the professional contract, Julie proved herself through Sueno Alianza. The free tryouts in LA gave her a platform. Her talent did the rest. From there, she joined LAFC SO CAL and eventually earned her place representing Mexico at the 2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup in India.
