Christopher Martinez: 12 Years Old. LAFC Academy. Co-Owner.
Christopher Martinez Is 12, Plays for LAFC Academy, and Owns Part of CVY
From a Pickup Game to the Board Room
January 2025. Palmdale. A co-branding shoot for CRKSOLY. and Project Rooted wraps up. Robert Castellanos - pro player, one of CVY's cornerstone athletes - finishes his session. The cameras stop. D1 college athletes. Trainers. The CEO. Someone suggests a 5v5.
Christopher Martinez is the only kid there. He steps on anyway.
Twelve years old. Playing against grown men who have made this their life. He doesn't back down. He doesn't fold. He plays.
Most kids would've disappeared in that game. Outmatched. Overwhelmed. Too young, too small, too inexperienced. Christopher didn't just survive - he competed. He wasn't rattled by the speed. He didn't shy away from contact. He kept showing for the ball. Kept demanding it. Relentless.
That is CRKSOLY. mentality. No fear. No excuses. Just play. He played with a composure that didn't match his age. The CEO watched him track back on defense, read passing lanes, move without the ball. By the time the game ended, one thing was clear: this kid wasn't just talented. He was built different.
He proved it everywhere else too. Total Futbol Academy. The Mediterranean International Cup in Spain - the same tournament that tested Lamine Yamal, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford before they went pro. Christopher competed against Europe's elite academies, including Real Madrid, and held his ground.
Then came January 2026. LAFC Academy. One of the most respected youth systems in North America. The pipeline that has produced MLS Homegrown talent and CONCACAF champions. Christopher signed.
Behind every young athlete is a foundation. Christopher is surrounded by a strong support group in his parents - guiding him, believing in him, making sure he stays grounded as the opportunities grow.
"Twelve years old playing against D1 athletes, pros, trainers.
He didn't just hold his own. He earned his spot on that field."
Christopher showed up to everything. Website shoots. Lifestyle campaigns. The billboard announcement commercial. He understood what CVY represented. Community. Ownership. Building something real.
Most athletes start with sponsorships. Very few earn what comes next. A seat at the table. Real equity. Real ownership. That 5v5 in Palmdale proved Christopher belonged in the room where decisions are made.
Christopher Martinez is CVY's first official youth athlete co-owner. The youngest person to ever sit on our board. A 12-year-old who steps on the field with pros and doesn't flinch deserves more than a handshake and a jersey. He deserves equity. A stake in what he's helping build. The future of this brand is built on athletes who own it.
CVY Co-Founder
CVY sponsors athletes. But the board? That is earned. Extremely exclusive. Reserved for those who prove themselves when it matters most. When they are the youngest one on the field and refuse to play like it.
Palmdale. TFA. MIC. LAFC Academy. The CVY board.
Christopher Martinez didn't wait for permission.
He stepped on the field and took it.
This is what we're building. Athletes who don't just represent the brand. They own it.
